Course Overview
In this course attendees will learn how to use Trend Micro® OfficeScanTM software to detect malware infections on network servers, desktops, and laptops. Specifically attendees will learn how to install, configure, and manage OfficeScan giving the attendees the knowledge so they can prevent malware outbreaks and mitigate the damage malware can cause on your network.

Knowledge • Describe the purpose, features, functions, benefits, and requirements of Trend Micro OfficeScan • Describe the program architecture, database structure, and communications processes used in OfficeScan • Understand various methods of deploying client installations
Skills • Perform pre-installation tasks for OfficeScan • Install OfficeScan on clients and servers and verify installation • Configure OfficeScan for a particular environment • Update OfficeScan components such as the virus pattern file, scan engine, spyware/grayware scan and clean patterns • Administer OfficeScan from a web-based management console • Troubleshoot common problems in OfficeScan
