This uses discussion, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises to build competency in using basic features of Critical Path™ Meta-Directory Server to configure a meta-directory system that flows data and provisions user account between various types of data servers.

Prerequisites
A strong understanding of LDAP is recommended. Familiarity with Windows.
Skills Gained
At the end of this course students should be able to perform the following tasks:
- Install Critical Path™ Meta-Directory Server
- Create and configure a directory to hold the meta Join Engine configuration
- Create Management Center objects to represent pieces of the meta-directory system
- Create various Join Engine rules to flow data between data servers
- Initiate and manage Join Engine processing
- Trouble shoot configuration errors
- Perform basic meta project analysis
- Configure connections and data flow between the meta-directory and Oracle, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, and Active Directory.
- Configure a Perl script connector
